This is my third attempt to photograph this bridge with evening sunshine. Much earlier than I would like but the sun was close to sinking into the western gloom. Off to Venice tomorrow, July is not the best time, far too hot and busy but it is only an hour and $20 away on the train so it seems silly to miss the opportunity. On our last visit we had 2 young children and before that at Easter with a 2yr old and my wife was heavily pregnant, getting on the last boat back to the Lido was a struggle. Ken

It is a classy old bridge and building - I really like the V tops to the crenelations along the parapet walls.

It sure must have been a lot easier to get around this time it seems!

That's interesting how the bridge just merges in with the castle(?).
