Oldest Wooden School House in the USA

This is the oldest know wood school house in the US. The exact date of date of concretion is not certain, but tax records for St Augustine show an entry in 1716. It would have been built sometime after the English burned the town down in 1702.

Remarkable the wood is still in that good a state given its age. Nice processing treatment for this relic.

It's amazing how old it is and it's still in one piece, perhaps it's that ghost up in the window that has been keeping it in shape?
