Old Route 66

A couple of images taken on old Route 66 showing things that are part of old road trips on Route 66, where you got your kicks! Before the Interstate Highways it was the main route from Chicago to Los Angeles.

I still remember traveling on that old highway prior to the interstate highways. Nice collection of nostalgia and a curious commentary on our settlement choices. This place had no reason to exist where it is prior to the highway and no way to exist once it was gone.
