Hey Ed,

It's funny that I had that in my list of possible subjects a few days ago when I went out. So I am glad you captured it as I didn't.

I like the starless version as well. Lot's of nice dark nebulosity surrounding this area too.

Can you post larger images of this? If you can go to 1000px on it's longest edge, or even 1200px that would be awesome.

You know... the bottom one really resembles a Monarch butterfly in space!

I am enjoying both! I would like to capture it, but sadly, I have clouds down here until the moon gets almost full. The clouds and the moon need to get on the same page!

Nicely captured and edited. The close-ups are especially compelling. I like the coloring of the very last one, but I miss some of the faint dust of the 2nd to last one - perhaps a color shift to the palette of the last one while trying to retain the faint details is worth exploring?
