Masonic Lodge Building in Nevadaville, CO

Navadaville was a thriving community around 1859 to support the miners working the gold mine in the area. The mining operations continued until about 1900 when the easily mined gold dried up. At it's peak Navadaville housed about 4000 people.

Bricks must have been expensive judging by the way this lodge was built - the good stuff was only applied to the street facing facade of the building. Classy old structure..

This looks great, and it's amazing for as old as it is, that it still looks this great!

Thanks Jim I think this building has been recently refurbished (in the last 50 years) and is still used for meetings. ;)
