I wanted to stay here last summer but it was in the process of renovation and the few open rooms were all booked.

When we travel my wife likes to stay in local motels, park hotels and eat in local restaurants to get the flavor of each place. To do that she makes reservations very early and it was a blessing here. Time just stands still when you enter the door, no tv, no radio, minimal wifi, piano music, people reading and actually talking to each other; it's a grand experience.

If you get an opportunity for an evening photograph... take mosquito spray!!! We didn't . Happy New Year.... Mike
