To spice things up, we are requesting that everyone "Play" with the Let's Play photo. Please don't use your normal processing steps as that's not playing, that's just your normal processing. The goal here in Let's Play is to see just how different from the original photo you can make your edit. So go Play!

https://www.focalworld.com/index.php?resources/lets-play-49.76/

Show us how you would render it.

The embedded image is a small jpg of the raw, but use the DNG file for rework.

Ok, I will kick this off with my entry. I am not really into funky processing so my entries are pretty bland. B&W is funky enough for me.

Like both Ben and Alan, I did the crop and processed normally. A few things that immediately came to mind.

1. Cleaned up a bit of the foliage left over from the crop.
2. The light fence was a bit of a distraction so darkened that.
3. The soft light on the house was looking good. Decided to warm that and enhance it to give it a nice late afternoon glow.
4. Do a sky replacement to complement that late afternoon look.

So here is my attempt.

Okay, I started going for an off beat textured look and was using the Grunge Texture in Topaz Texture addon. This is #1. Then I didn't like that out of focus fence area so I zoomed in on it and then went to use Noiseware to sharpen it. So I max sharpened it, and was going to see if I could blend that back in, but as I zoomed back out I saw the oversharpening had created a pencil sketch type look. And I thought that looked pretty cool.

I had a lot of fun playing around with this one. I think I will go with #2 as my choice.

#1 - Grunge

#2 - Over sharpened

So it said play...edit in a different way than normal. I never use software like Photomatix to blend images...but a lot of people do, so I thought I would try it out. Edited in a much different way to start with...then went through some more edits once it was done. I think it was a fun exercise, but I think I like doing luminosity masks and hand blending more! I too cropped in from the left, that building and stoop were distracting, and I liked the sidewalk leading in from the corner. I also brought it up from the bottom, so that the fence was not so dominant. Also perspective correction...because architecture.

Nice entry Travis. Your is the first entry besides mine with perspective correction applied. I like the lighting you processed to and the deeper color saturations that came with that.
