Cosmic dust in Cassiopeia blocks out the background starlight to create an area of dark nebulosity. The main feature in this image is LDN1295, also known as The Giraffe Nebula and Brontosaurus Nebula.

Excellent work! Dark nebula was my enemy when I first started Astro. I didn't know what it was and went through crazy masking to get rid of it.

I am older and wiser now, and I really appreciate what you captured Andy!
