Here are 2 of my favorite friends, one sadly passed due to a tragic accident (Jenny) and one who si still very much with us (and busting my chops right now to go on a walk instead of whatever silly activity I am engaged in on the computer
).
Jenny was a once in a lifetime soulmate, saved as a stray and found at the local dog pound. She has a wonderful life (we spoiled her rotten) and I cherished all my days with her. She was taken out by a freak accident in our home (I think I likely shared that story when these images would have been posted originally) but one of her great gifts to us was the discovery of her breed, The Australian Cattle Dog. ACDs are so special, and so it was a forgone conclusion that when we were finally able to contemplate a new pet it would be another ACD. Ellie came into our life from a local ACD rescue organization that saves dogs from as far away as Texas and brings them to foster homes in CO where they are eventually adopted. Ellie is another sweetie and while small for her breed is fuill of energy and love. She also shares Jenny's love for walks (did I mention that already? ) Anyway, I need to post these and get out on the trail right now, apparently (right, Ellie?
)
Jenny- When is this stupid rain going to end so we can go for a walk?
Jenny in Her Element
Ellie, also on a walk
Ellie, Checking out the sights at the leash free park
