Those are really nice Dean, what a Dune collection you have. You nailed the shapes and light at the dune sunrise; and the bw is so stark and beautiful, with a great touch of subtle.
Dune Messiah, I guess.
#1, what a wild scene. Well done.
#2, really sweet with the light, cracks, subtle color variations and nice selection of interrupts. It would make a great canvas texture shot as background for another desert image mounted over it.
I like the last one best; though I'd make a pano out of it; cutting off half of the bottom and 2" off the top.
I've been trying and trying to no avail to get a decent image. I just can't get a view with a decent foreground that also eliminates unwelcome light from the horizon. One night I...
I thought of that image when I woke up this morning (skunked by lack of clouds for a sunrise canoe/photo outing); had to look at it again. It is so simple, yet chock-full of lovely features and shapes. I think it belongs on my wall.
Great job Vieri
A wonderful location, with great takes. Surprising scenes to me for this time of year. We're in the doldrums for variation in the Northeast, except for the heat; it's such a joy to see scenes like this. Looks like WA on the first one, how wide?
