Happy Waterfall Wednesday once again For a couple of years after moving to digital from film I spent a lot of time around the various water features in the Columbia River Gorge trying out different techniques for capturing flowing water. I was fascinated by the differences in shutter speed with different flows of water and in particular the textures you could get in certain circumstance. In rapids with a fast enough water flow there is a sweet spot that leaves the water surface looking like it was painted with brush strokes. This is one such set of rapids just above Bridal Veil Falls. Pile on with your own variants of falling water.
