One of these days I will work out how to add images but more importantly change the title of posts. Whilst at the bothy we chatted to 2 cyclists who had cycled up to have lunch here before plunging the 1,000 feet down to the valley below on a "path" that is difficult to walk on. I thing that cyclo-cross happens in the USA but f you are not familiar, it is a niche sport for masochists, a little like mountain biking but tougher, no armour, no suspension usually on very muddy terrain and if cycling is too slow you sling your bike across your shoulders and run. For information-- the bothy was originally a quarry workers' "home" where a group of workers would live year round, a hard life and probably a short one. Weather remains lovely here just below 70 but with wonderful sunshine and I am off for a cycle, only 30 miles with 1500ft of climbing but I don't ever have to carry my bike. We do have cyclocross on our side of the pond but it's very much a niche sport here. I was never fond enough of being muddy to appreciate what they do to their bicycles.

This valley does make for a nice scene with the river winding its way down to the lake.

To add to a post look for the little Edit button below the post on the left side of the frame. To change your thread title go to the top of the thread and look for the drop down menu labeled Thread Tools. The entry for Edit Thread will allow you to change the title.

Hey Ken, this is a nice one.

To change titles, find "thread tools" edit title is one of the option.

To add images or replace one, go to Edit>more option>upload a photo

Your original image will appear as a text string, you can erase it.

    Hope this helps

Hey Ken, what an interesting sport. In the back of my mind there is a vague recollection of a similar sport. Alan has heard of it, so it must exist here, but I can’t place it. The mud runs are rather popular here where they combine a 5 k run with a mud pit.

Sounds like they named this activity incorrectly, Ken. It should be psycho-cross.
