Upper Kaolin Wash

In the northern part of Valley of Fire has a colorful trail called the White Domes Trail. Just past an old movie set is a short slot canyon and this small spire was near the entrance to the canyon. I liked the contrasts of the rock colors against the cloudless blue skies. The slot canyon is part of Kaolin Wash that also passes through Pink Canyon and then past the Fire Wave on its way towards joining up with the Muddy River near Overton.

I never liked the White Dome area as much for some reason. So it's nice seeing your take from it.

I took a lot of images in the White Dome area but honestly don't like most of them so I am not surprised that it isn't your favorite spot in VoF.
