Quite dramatic, Jim. The B&W processing fits the image nicely.

I like it! You could pull up the black a bit maybe, perhaps mask the sky first? Might be worth playing with

Thanks Aaron, just playing around...

I did actually process the sky separate from the water. So your technique (I should have mentioned) was only applied to the sky.

If you have any ideas, feel free to download this one or the color version and have at it. :)

Interesting result and thanks for clarifying where this was applied in your processing.

I would need to alter my capture techniques to have workable images for this approach. I may have some cloudy (not sideways rain) opportunities for shooting with some good sized wave action coming up tomorrow.

Yeah, that would be cool if you could capture something to then play with that processing.

Very interesting Jim! Quite different from my vision of a B&W conversion, but I like it a lot.

High drama with the b&w, Jim! I'm not sure if what I'm seeing in the sky is lots of dust/water spots or noise, but maybe pull back a bit on the detail/clarity/contrast there there or de-noise it?

Wonderful, Jim! Really grabs the eye and the way it displays it's like the wash is for miles around.

    Cool.
