As I was packing up my gear and getting ready to hike out of the Wave, I stopped to take a phone picture of this scene. That led me to pull out my tripod and capture it with my camera. I really liked the swirls in the sandstone and the patterns in the foreground. Although I'll acknowledge it is somewhat busy...

    Any thoughts are welcome.

Great shot - I like the colors and patterns in this one. The only microscopic nit for me is the little patch in the upper middle edge with the small bush draws my eye. Too much interesting stuff going on alongside that area to just crop this out, perhaps experimenting with cloning it out. Just a thought...

Very cool Kyle. That little channel is a fun place to play in there especially with an ultra wide.

I absolutely love it - that starts to rival some of the insanity of Petra's sandstones.

Great image of this little side-canyon, Kyle. Those crazy sections are the result of slumps in the sand dunes that were here when these formations developed.

That's nice, Kyle. Reminds me that I photographed that same spot in 2003. The two look so different.

Very cool Kyle..some nit picking would be that I'm also of the camp the area in the "v" on top is slightly distracting but i would go as far as cropping just below the V. I also think if you wanted to get wild and crazy a strong push in of a 2x3 vertical (like I keep doing on my phone as I look at this) in the center below the v and lose the sides for a really addional interesting abstract.. A well seen scene :)

Thanks everyone - I'm glad this works for people!

Taking a look, I do like the crop suggestions. I'll have to play with the vertical crop idea too. Thanks!
