I found a nice stream while trail running a part of the NTP: good flows, moss covered rocks, and lush greens, so I had to go back and bushwhack the stream.

#1 Near the trail crossing, this was pre-sunrise, so I needed a long exposure:

    #2 Further upstream, there's a wide falls:

It was worth trying a side view (I wish I had continued a pano from this side-view:

Another view of the falls from the side:

Further up, well above the falls, the channel is wide, calm, and lush:

    C&C welcome.

So green, so alive. So Upstate NY. (I grew up on Long Island and camped upstate long ago).

Sweet greens! You get to trail run through that area? Love the water flows and the moss.

A great Trail Running find Bart! I sure wish I had anything that lush where I trail run, all I have is dusty brown hills sadly.

My favorites are #1 and 4.

Thanks for the kind notes. Jim, for the little bit of trail running I"ve done out west, I've always enjoyed the desert runs. Brown, and cacti, yes, but the grand views are very worthwhile and different for me. I love running the woods, but as lush and enjoyable as they are, the views are limited -- and as always, focused on rocks and roots. Also, at this time of year, by 9:30 the bugs are out, so a sunrise start is recommended. The best part is the chance to scope out new places to shoot.

What a nice way to start out the morning (my morning -- looking at these & not having to worry about bugs). The side view with the contrasting vertical & diagonal lines is kind of dizzying.
