One of the few perks of going to Venice in the middle of summer is that very few people are up for sunrise at 5 am, and you get San Marco square all for yourself :) A couple of seconds exposure with my Demo Hasselblad X1D II, Hasselblad XCD 21mm and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest Ultra filters.

Nice light Vieri. Seeing this square empty is a very different presentation of this landmark. I like it.

Digging the light and tones in this one. Odd to see the place so empty. Is this the same square that will flood from time to time?

This is really cool Vieri. Love those soft subtle tones of color and light in this.

Than you very much Alan, glad you enjoyed the photo and the different feel of seeing it empty :)

Thank you very much pepper, yes, it is totally different without the oceanic crowds that assemble there in daytime ;)

Thank you very much Linda! :)

Than you very much Barry! :)

Than you very much Travis, glad you enjoyed it! :) Yes, it's the very same, acqua alta (high tide) will send San Marco underwater pretty quickly.

Than you very much Jim, I am glad you enjoyed the light & tones here! :)

    Best regards,

    Vieri
