Some scattered morning light falling on the waves along Beverly Beach near Newport, Oregon. The rainbow heralds the incoming squall that hit a couple of minutes after I squeezed off this shot.

    C&C always welcome.

Great when those colours appear over water, nicely timed before the rain Alan.

Very cool Alan! The addition of the rainbow really elevated this one! I hope you didn’t get too wet.

I really like that dark green look you sometimes get in the water and that rainbow is a great plus.

Love the colors in the water and that rainbow positioned the way it is. Nice timing and braving the weather.

    Thanks for the comments.

Sometimes the most interesting scenes are right before something hits.

Camping and photography along the coast in the winter means dress for wet and have your gear ready for the same.

Once I saw the rainbow I squeezed off a bunch of shots so I could pick out the best waves/water/light. It's a constantly changing dance of each.

Being out along the coast when you get breaks between the storms is when the interesting stuff happens.
