I forgot my other zoom lens instead I used the 24 - 70 mm to capture the hiker on the first image. I would have love to zoom in to get a better composition. JTNP 3.jpg JTNP 1.jpg JTNP 2.jpg

Love the scale in the 1st.
The snow in the shadows is bit oversaturated.

    Cheers.

I really like the first one, almost looks like they were posing for you. It would have been nice to zoom in, but like lionking says the scale is great.

Very nice work a Lenny! It’s great to see what you were shooting there. I am actually out here in Joshua Tree right now!

I am glad you forgot your other zoom! I think #1 is perfect as it is. Love the snow in these, all 3 are really nice, but #1 stands out, great foreground to background interest.

Like the others who have commented so far that first image is great for scale. Andrey is right about the saturation of the snow in the shadows.

great use of layers in the first. it really makes you stop and look. the human out there on the rock is a great focal point to pull the entire image together. it's busy and interesting without being overdone.
