Miss April

The company that built my RV (Leisure Travel Vans) has an annual photo contest for images they will use in a calendar and for advertising purposes. The theme is showing off one of their RVs in some landscape setting. One of my shots from this last year was chosen and my RV has become Miss April in their RV pin-up calendar. My prize was a new iPad.

The shot was a moonlight scene in the Alabama Hills that I grabbed just after finishing up a shooting session of the Sierra peaks. The image title was By the Light of the Silvery Moon.

Thanks - to be honest I don't take all that many images of my rig compared to some of the other owners. That said this is the second time one of my shots made their calendar.

They do have some tiny print in the contest rules stating that all images submitted can be used for their promotions and I have seen my RV in several of their ads using images that were not selected for the calendar.

Ben - I have done some woodwork modifications to the interior but no way I can take credit for the cabinets. Leisure Travel makes these in a small factory in the Mennonite community of Winkler up in Manitoba that does fantastic cabinet work. Their attention to detail with the woodwork was why I bought one of these.
