One more late fall image from the Redwoods Nature Trail in the Siskiyou National Forest near the Chetco River, Oregon.

    C&C always welcome.

Alan, this is a great forest image, but I would not know it was fall without your title.

Still have some yellow leaves peeking out of the small canyon.

That’s a really cool forest scene. Like Ben, I think that forest sure makes it hard to know it’s fall.

I have gotten to where as long as you tell us it’s fall I can now pick out the fall looking parts.

What makes it harder for folks not used to the temperate coastal forests is the fact that we have a lot of broadleaf evergreen foliage that tricks you into thinking this can't be fall. I intend to hike this trail next week so will get to see what's left.

I have shot fall colors at the Nelson Drury Parkway in the Prairie Creek Redwoods in mid December and that's only about 45 miles south of this grove as a crow flies.
