Ha ha Alan..... I was saying, I don't recall those waterfalls looking that cool. And then I scrolled down and saw you used a 400mm... now wonder!

This is super cool. When did you shoot this that you got fall colors too? That's a cool touch.

The date for this image was Sept. 18, 2015. Its shots like this that remind me why I lug around my 100-400mm lens all the time.

I traded my long lens in for a macro lens since I was almost never using it. I do have a 70-200mm I can put a 1.7x extender on, so I could come close to the 100-400mm I think.

But this has me wondering in my fall color wanderings if maybe I should wander up to Glacier for some fall themed shots. I wouldn't get there though till the end of Sept, so by then it might be too late. I will have to check.

Keep a careful eye on the weather. Fall colors at Glacier are considerably earlier than the rest of the Rockies and mid Sept. can bring some early season snowfall. The west slopes at Glacier were getting clobbered the day I took this image and I had dark clouds boiling over my head all day but the divide held the storms back during my hike.

That is beautiful! Some fantastic colors going on. Were the formations on the side forcing you to crop into a square, (uninteresting?)

Mainly nearby tree branches that crept into the scene from my vantage point. I couldn't find a completely clear viewpoint that gave me the perspective I wanted for the falls.

ic. At 400mm, I can only imagine how far the falls are from each other. Looks like a simple hike from one to the other. Probably 1/2 hike apart. :)
