Unseasonably warm weather wasn't good for our normal x-skiing so my wife and I checked out the snow free, low elevation, Heybrook Ridge trail near the town of Index WA. A very pleasant easy 2 miles through 2nd growth forest leads to a good view of Mt. Index (which was in shade when we got there mid-day). A little further up the power line path I managed to get this shot with my tele of Gunn Peak. I'll be returning for sunrise shots of Mt. Index's east face.

This shot works - I like the perspective on the peaks.

This is sure cool Jim. I really like the look of the peaks in this and think a return trip would definitely be worth it.
