This is nice John. Having the mountains in the background help for me as I am not very fond of sand dunes.

I like this with the clouds, the mountain backdrop, and the slice of golden grasses with the solitary tree at the bottom. Nice comp.

I’m usually with a wide angle lens for landscapes but knew before visiting the Sand Dunes I would also try my Nikon 200-500—a different look.

Grat picture John. I've been there a couple of times and it's a magical place. I am always with the family and it's hard for me to get a good picture. You've done a good job.

Hey John, love the look of this one. You set it up very nice. Those dunes are laid out so nice in this. I agree with Jim’s thought about the grass at the bottom, I wish there was just a tad bit more.

I agree it would have been better with a bit more of the yellow grass.

I really like this image, John. I agree with Jim that you could have included a bit more of the grasses. The brightness of them makes a nice contrast with the dunes and the mountains and would add another layer element to the image.
