The Focus this Friday is on Landscapes cousin, Seascapes. So our Seascape Focus is on Splashes!

Dig through and post your wave splashes and add them to this thread.

I will start with a few from a pretty common location in Oregon, Thor's Well.

Great set of images Jim, I can see why #2 is one of your all time favourites.

Wow, Jim! Those splashes are all so stunning, especially in that golden light.
I do like the power of that giant splash in #3, but #2 is my favorite because of the fantastic feeling of movement. Plus those colors!

Unfortunately, looking through my archives I don't have many satisfactory splashes to choose from, but I'm sharing this one anyway because it's fun to contribute (and reminisce). This is an old one from 2016 (old at least for me, photographically speaking, since I've evolved in terms of equipment and eye quite a bit since then).

    From New Zealand's south coast:

Montego Bay, Jamaica 2011. Well, this splash is a little anemic compared to yours but its all I can think of having regarding seascapes.

I like to think of this one as "small but perfectly formed". Standing in the warm Mediterranean after cycling across Northern Sardinia catching the tiny splash was a bonus. Ken _8240994 as Smart ObjectCastelsardo sunset v4.jpg

Jim, what and incredible set of waves and thanks for starting this. Here is my favorite from right near my room at the Fireside Inn at Yachats.

Getting a little greedy here, from Northern Spain 2018. I have shown you the first 1 before and it is my favourite as an image but the other 2 are more dramatic even if I haven't really managed to capture the highlights or even the entire splash. This area, The Bay of Biscay is known for storms and violent seas and the 3 images were taken on a calm and wind less day _DSC8867-4 .jpg

This last image, also from Northern Spain was taken when a storm was starting, unfortunately we were flying home the next day because the seas were mountainous as we drove to the airport and I couldn't stop. The cliffs are approx 200ft high _DSC0551-1 letterbox.jpg

Boy did this generate a lot of great posts, Jim. Here is my contribution: a spouting horn at Poi Pu Beach on the Island of Kauai.

Not something I usually photograph (I used to try when in Hawai'i, but never really got what I felt captured the feeling). Here's from back in 2013 at Diamond Beach -- back then it was just referred to as Jokulsarlon beach. All of my others had regular, white splash, but this one had picked up the black sand.
