Gee - I have that one too :)

We still have at least another month of colors up here on the west side of the Cascades and are just getting started.

Still a couple of weeks to go but the tree to the left close to peak colour. This is Borrowdale in pre-dawn light and slightly below freezing point.

HDR processed and not a halo or false colour in sight, unless you can spot some. Ken

Very nice indeed Ken! This is a great photo to have as your Best fall color. Hopefully I can get working through mine a bit to pick out my favorite from this fall color season.

_DSC1426-Edit-Edit-2.jpg Was out in Ouray, CO this fall for 10 days. Met a number of you, including Jim Fox, for the first time. Am now in the NC Blue Ridge, where the color is terrible this year with leaves 10 days behind schedule, but many trees just stripped bare by the Hurricane remnants that blew though a couple weeks ago. Just starting to get some color at higher elevations on the trees that are left. My laptop sucks, and we are "on the road" so have not had time to develop much from Colorado yet. Here was a quick one I did near sunset on County Road 8 - I am sure I will get better ones as I have time to sit down, review and process them. Thanks for telling me about this site Jim and Dean.

Black and white fall color - a bit of a joke on myself.

My wife and I got home last night from a week in "The Shires" of MA & VT where we'd hoped to enjoy a fall color show that didn't happen. Due to a hot summer that stressed the trees, then wind storms, many leaves were already gone, and most of those that were left hadn't turned yet. Some days I didn't even get my big camera out, and never changed memory cards (I shot less in a week than I do on one hike in southern UT). Some of the best color I saw was from the plane as we came in over Seattle! My wife loved the cute villages, and wants to go back with her sister for another fall visit someday, I"m done.

I did get a few color shots that came out ok, but not what I was expecting (what Bart has been sharing last week - shoulda hit the Adirondacks!).

Hey Craig, this is a super cool shot! It was awesome to meet you in Colorado. That's too bad your colors back east didn't turn out good, but I bet you still came away with some good looking shots.
