Eagle Eye Cave in Monument Valley.

This was a restricted area and not accessible to the public unless you hire a guide which we did. The charge was $150 per person and I believe a minimum of 3 hrs. The tour will enable access to 3 locations at least from our tour and this cave is one of them. I focused more on the Eye of the Eagle and used the Milkyway as my background I did get some shots moving my cam vertically in order to show more of the Milkyway but unfortunately they didn't turn out so well .

    Single exposure

    Sony A7rii

Rokinon 14 mm with Metabones IV.

    F/2.8, ISO 5000, 25 Secs.

Interesting color pallet there at night. I've been there, and our guide called it Big Hogan.

Hey Lenny, that's pretty good with the Milky Way in the background. The stars look a little soft, and there is a halo going around the sky in the bottom area. Did you try to feather that in? Using a layer mask with a sharp edge and no feathering is the way to go there.

    Excellent photo!

That is a pretty interesting formation. I need to get back down there this spring.

Not a scene I have seen before and it looks quite interesting. I do note the same possible edits Jim suggested with the softness of the stars and the halo.

    Nice capture.

I see it too Jimi I didn’t like my shots of the Milky Way as I have told you big mistake using that particular lens I’m not use to it. Next time I’ll stick with the lens I normally use to shot the stars.

Fun image - always a frustrating thing to slightly miss focus on the sky though. Sure sounds like a very fun tour - I bet you got some other very exciting captures there!
