Love the crisp blue in this. I would feather the vignetting more, probably around 500 (if using Photoshop) the help that vignetting not be as abrupt.

So.... what new camera did you get??? Don’t tease us and leave us hanging.

Lmao, ok ok! I picked up the Canon EOS R. It's a bit of adjustment coming from an 80D. But man oh man i'm really liking it.

You guys are right, here is a fixed version. There are times when I need to step away from a photo and relook at it.

Looks like being late to the party had some merits - I like the edit a lot better than the first version. Very nice colors.

Cool new toy - the EOS R has the same sensor and user interface as my 5D Mk IV. I love the dynamic range compared to my old 6D and being able to pick my focus/spot light metering location with a quick finger poke on touch screen makes it a breeze to sample the light in the frame and then pick my focal point makes the old joy stick approach seem like flint tools. Enjoy :)

Much better, and if you stay away form astro work, the 5DSR is very hard to beat.

    Love the edit!

But now maybe I need to switch this with your abandoned boat and make this one the Daily Featured Post today!

    That will be fun!

There are some cool aspects of mirrorless. But then other parts seem to really take a while getting used to, at least for someone like me who despite all of the LCD displays and such still use my DSLR's basically as they were still a film camera. I know I really need to start taking advantage of some of those features and use more then just the histogram.

Joe, another vote for the less-vignetted version :) Might I add a suggestion of mine? Would you consider trying a different image ratio such as 16:9 or 2:1, keeping all the sky in and taking out some of the sea at the bottom? I think that would concentrate the viewer's attention on the "facing lights", which to me are the main focus of the image. Just my .02 of course :)

    Best regards,

    Vieri
