Hmmm... a good question Alisa. This is a very nice shot no matter what. I am kind of leaning towards no crop.

But an alternative view that I hope you captured is a tighter shot of the background. That distant light underneath the cloud is so cool and how it's lighting up the sides of the distant buttes is really awesome.

How about even more of a crop - crop the second one down to just above the clouds and then from the bottom to make it into a landscape orientation. Its the canyon under the clouds that is the centerpiece.

That's a good idea too Alan! I think you would have had a hay day at this spot with your 100-400mm.

I like the crop but would take a bit more off the bottom, I want to keep those bright clouds at the top. This is a lovely image.

    AZlisa,

Very nice capture! The pastels are exquisite in this one.

I fooled around for a while trying to find any sort of a crop that I liked more than the un-cropped version, and couldn't find one. So for me, the un-cropped is the best result.

I like them all - great color and details. Overall I'd go with the latest crop. It focuses best on the nicest parts of the image.

I did not want to see you loose this top clouds, but I am liking this new crop.
