The previous evening at the Bisti was characterized by dramatic clouds , nice light.........and howling wind. I was pretty sure I wouldn't be taking my camera out of my pack, but I figured the pack would weigh me down & keep me from blowing away. Even if I'd been able to keep my stove lit, each bite would have been half grit and half food. At best. So I ran away to spend the night in a room in Farmington. Didn't even bother getting up early as MeteoBlue said that the skies would be totally clear at sunrise. So, what to do in the Bisti with cloudless skies mid-morning to midday? This is for the moderator who's been trying to get me to do more of these kinds of shots......
