After getting Jim's text the night before (thanks for thinking of me sooner). i left for Bishop at 3 AM, drinking 2 big red bulls and sipping coffee en route, drove to North Lake to catch the sunrise...about 5million other people had the same idea...to shoot the sunrise that is. I wiggled my way to the front in between tripods, handholding the camera, bracing it against my chest..elbows locked...holding breath and ...click.

Another one of those 24 dingers...i was back home at 11 PM.

Nice to see your name on a post here, Sunny. Fine imaging, especially hand held.

Very cool indeed Sunny. Great job on getting there.

And I had a master plan in waiting until the last minute to tell you about it.... If I had told you sooner, your wife might have made you mow the lawn or something and not let you go. By my telling you at the last minute you could sneak out before she was any the wiser.... see how smart I am? :)

Sounds like quite the day but I am certainly enjoying what you brought back with this scene. That is a seriously nice view of that scene with some stunning light.

This is stunning, Sunny. Those were some killer conditions with the fresh snow and radiating clouds. Great meeting you last week!

The frosty grasses and the peak aspen across the way really set this off. The clouds are first rate as well. That was a great day to decide to drive up! Also it was great to meet and eat with you.
