Still processing Spanish images but need a break so...... From July this year on a cycling trip to Germany and Austria. The images were taken near Mittenwald in Bavaria on the only days that weren't cold and wet.

I had visited this area before and knew that their were small lakes hidden in the forest so set off on my bike with gps phone, Fuji XE-1 and 18-55 lens, the waterlillies were a pleasant addition. The mountains hidden in the clouds are in Austria. The next 3 were taken on a 20 mile walk from my campsite a pleasant bit of exercise that doesn't involve sitting on a saddle.

The mountain ridge forms the German Austrian border with the mountain Zugspitze, highest in Germany at 9700ft hiding under the clouds.

Ferchensee and it really is green.

The clouds welled up and spoiled my chances of low raking sunlight lighting everything up at sunset but I got a bit of drama instead. Then back to the tent to make pasta and a mug of wine and get ready for the 100 mile cycle back to Munich that took me a day and a half unfortunately most of it in torrential rain. Hope you enjoyed my trip ;-) Ken

Incredible scenery. I love the water lily shot but the other 3 images are very nice as well. Great pond shot in #3.

    Ken,
Very nice set. 20 mile walk ?? I love the casualness of that comment.
These days a 20 mile walk would most likely do me in :)
    Regards,
    Dean

Love the water lilies. The pond is almost tropical while the mountains are alpine.
