While out on the California beach I wanted to get a nice shore shot, but the foreground was large and didn't have much going for it. I kept walking and walking until I came upon some interesting kelp that had washed ashore. It had a super cool, almost alien, look about it and provided the foreground interest that I felt the pic needed.

C&C is welcome and thanks for viewing!

I never thought about kelp with IR before - this turns it into an interesting foreground element when it can otherwise be quite dull.
There's often quite a lot of it on the beach after storms roll through.

This turned out great as an IR Jeff! I typically find that as cool as the kelp seems on the beach that when I get back home I find it ends up feeling more like a distraction in my photos. But this one the kelp ends up fitting, so good job!

Hi Jeff, The long exposure really added a great deal of mood and the "Alien Lifeform" look of the Kelp with it's long stipe looking like a Tail
    was other worldly.

    Very Nicely Done !!!

    Take Care,

    Craig
