I had my final cataract surgery on Friday morning so I am adding the two images I had planned to do yesterday and today. These two images are from prairies in mid-summer (July) and early fall ( August-September) in northern Illinois.
The first image is from Nachusa Prairie. The yellow flowers in this image are Coreopsis and the purple flowers are Pale Purple Coneflower.
The second is from Gensburg-Markham Prairie. The pink flowers are Gayfeather, the white ones are Flowering Spurge, and the yellow ones are Early Goldenrod.
