PC components recommendation

I'm planning to build a new PC for photo editing. I'm not a gamer, so don't need any of that stuff. Currently using PC I built 4 years ago with i5 processor, seems bit slow after I upgraded my camera to Sony A7R iv.
Anybody have recommendations for
SSD
CPU
RAM
Motherboard
Graphic card
Cooling

I had one built about three years ago and got some expert advice which is now obsolete. But I did use SSD's mounted to the mother board, 256GB each. 64 mb ram and two fast hd's internal at 2TB each. I got the fastest quad core available and it's water cooled. I got an i7-6700 cpu 4ghz

I got a special graphics card that supported my NEC 4k monitor. Don't recall the model now. But I run tow monitors.

I bought this from AVA and it has run well.

That's fun that you are building your own Shibu, years ago when there used to be Computer Swapmeets once a month, I would buy parts to build or upgrade my computers. It was a blast scouring through all of those used and new parts.

I think most anything a gamer would want you would want too. You want a fast graphics processer, you want tons of fast memory, you want at least 1 SSD. About the only thing a lot of gamers have that you wouldn't need is a gamers keyboard and mouse.

Since I am a gamer, I make sure my desktop and laptops can handle my games, if they can handle my games, they will handle Photoshop.

i am also a gamer. i bought a gaming laptop since i did most of my photo editing and gaming at work when we're not busy. someday i'll get a desktop but i don't use my computer much at home so portability was a big need of mine. with the exception of audio there's a lot of overlap between gaming needs and editing needs. get the best processor you can with a good deal of memory and a great video card (i'm a big fan of nvidia). a lot of hard drive space is nice but you don't need to go overboard with that, you can add more harddrives for more storage space later.
i have a smaller laptop that doesn't have a great graphics card or much ram. it's good for traveling because it's very lightweight, but if i edit photos in lightroom they usually have banding issues when i export them. i mainly use it to transfer photos from the sd cards to the external harddrive and check the raw files at night. i wait to edit until i get home to the real computer.
