Bees

Yes I know they are a little hot, but I have never seen these bees in my yard before and it was midday. So not to let them get away, I shot anyway! If anyone knows what kind they are please let me know. All C&C welcomed!

Thank you Alan. Its the Canon 80D and Sigma 105mm 2.8 macro. It took a bit of post work to make these work, they were sharp but the looked a tad wonky!

These are awesome images.

I have a friend in Denver who is a beekeeper. I asked her what she thought they were. She came up with Melissodes druriellus. But wasn't 100% sure.
