Hey, Doug
Any help explaining the geology is greatly appreciated.

"The startling terrain of today's Zabriskie Point is being carved mostly from Furnace Creek Formation mudstones, composed of fine silts, clays and volcanic ashfalls deposited as sediments in prehistoric lakes some three to five million years ago, as well as ancient lava flows " Wiki

Hey Eric, Death Valley is a favorite of many of us here so it's great to see this one. Very nice light in this, and a great leading line.

Great image,Eric. The only thing that I would add is that the fine grained rocks are what create the badlands pattern that you see. Where else are you guys planning to visit? Make sure you visit Ubehebe Crater.

I saw your awesome aerial photo and it blew my mind!!! There was not enough time on this trip to see everything, I'll have to visit Ubehebe Crater next time. I'll post artist's palate, 20-mule canyon, bad water salt flats, and others when I process them.
