Its Wednesday so time for another round of Waterfall Wednesday :)

My falls for today are the Lower Christine Falls in Mt. Rainier National Park from a visit in late September. The lower part of Christine Falls are under a bridge on the Longmire-Paradise road so you can't step back and shoot both the upper and lower fall at the same time.

If there is water in the scene and its falling you are more than welcome to post it here.

This is Proxy Falls in Central Oregon on a rainy September day. I had a great time there - a lovely hike with no one around in the early morning. The hardest part was having to cross the creek to find a better vantage point. The jagged, slippery rocks and ice cold water made it quite challenging to stay upright while keeping my camera gear high and dry.

I love these falls and especially during late summer and fall when the water flow is low so we can see all of the delicate cascades. Glad you scrambled across the creek for this view so the rest of us don't have to :)

Is this the right place for my waterfall?
Sorry Alan, You will know this waterfall well.. LOL.. the surrounding landscape, soil, plants and trees are reddish from these healing springs. There is a small pond under this small waterfall, but there is always someone "soaked" there.
I reworked the image with new know-how (detail, color dynamics, 3D.. ?). I don't know if it will be visible in this "small photo". :)

I really like the processing of these waterfalls, the image creates a nice whole, dominated by the more beautiful lower part of the boulders and fallen trees of beautiful colors!
Nice work, Michael.

Definitely the right place to post this Peter. I like the scattered colors in the leaves that have spread themselves around the cascades in the falls. Very nice processing.

Beautiful waterfalls, Alan, in America you are surrounded by them!!! ;)
Thanks Peter - I am definitely surrounded by waterfalls living in the Pacific NW but that's not true of the whole country. I spent most of my life in places where they are quite rare and have been overcompensating ever since I moved to this area 27 years ago :)

Aira Force last Thursday. The colour version is handheld from narrow metal steps bolted to the canyon walls. The mono version is shot from the metal platform and is a much longer exposure time than my usual but I liked the simplicity. Ken

Beautiful setting and falls Ken. I am in love with the color version showing the old stone bridge at the top, fall leaves, and a nice rainbow from the spray. The B&W is indeed a quite simple but effective way to present these falls but the color steals my attention and makes me scroll back up the page.

Hi Ken.
I like the first one, I love the colors - they're there.. even with the rainbow!
This time I also like the B/W waterfall.. it's a "clear message" that even in the dark, life finds a way.. Very nice, Ken.

Nice textures for these falls with the flow rate this time of the year.

Beautiful falls. I can spend quite a bit of time exploring a number of compositions here.

I am not sure if this is Illilouette Falls view from Glacier Point in Yosemite or a different one. Perhaps one of the folks here can id it. Taken mid day in less than ideal light. Was quite challenging to process it.

For less than ideal light you managed to get a very viewable image out of the scene. I like how the falling water seems to wrap around the log near the bottom of the falls.

Hi Larry.
Beautiful! Photographed to my taste and nicely processed. This Chicago creek waterfall reminds me of the Tatra National Park in our country. I will visit a place in the Tatra Park that is similar to this.. maybe I will be lucky. Thanks for the inspiration!
Very nice place, Larry. :) 👍
