UP Michigan - Wisconsin. Fall ideas needed

Our late summer and autumn plans were interrupted. We are in North Carolina now, and looking at not traveling all the way back to Colorado for Autumn, which was our original plan. (we got called back to NC from Wyoming a couple weeks ago to deal with a family issue). New England has too many restrictions so UP Michigan and Wisconsin look like a good opportunity this year. We have never been there. Anu suggestions for good Fall color images locations welcome. If you can add a "best time to go" to your suggestion as well, that would be great. We travel in a 21' RV class B van. Thanks

I am actually interested in this too after seeing Doug’s recent fall photo from there he posted. I will still do my normal Colorado fall color but hope to also squeeze in some Minnesota/Wisconsin fall color.
