Two poses

Again from my archives of several years ago taken at the Bellevue botanical gardens. I re-processed both versions last night. Which one works better?

The first image is a more traditional pose but I kind of lean towards the second one. I like the way the depth of field pulls me in from the outside petals to the center as a visual path. The centered look in the first is more of a bullseye with a short visual path into the center of the bloom.

I am with #2 as my favorite. I would bet @Douglas Sherman will appreciate these as they could be used as illustrations in textbooks they are that good.
