Twilight time (new image added)

Last night I drove down to the south end of Utah lake with the intention of doing an in camera timelapse of sunset, then hang around for a conjunction image and finally some sky practice. But after the timelapse, and while I was still set up, I took a few normal images. This is one I liked.

That's some really sweet twilight Ben! a really nice glow. I like the partly frozen look of the lake.

Did you get any tighter shots?

No I always figured I could crop. How would you crop this? I wanted to keep the sweep of the mountains. Its already cropped some off the top and bottom for a 16x9

The pastel light with snow covered mountains makes a nice image. Like others I do like some nice tight compositions here.

Nice pastel sunset - probably not a good day to wear shorts from the looks of the scene. I like the looks of the peaks with the fading light.

Ben,
This is a beautiful scene and I like your capture. My favorite is the second one with less foreground and a hint of a reflection in the frozen lake.

Like the crop - it brings the snow capped mountains as well as the lake more into prominence. The foreground in the first is a bit distracting.

I appreciate the context the first image provides although the crop may provide a prettier rendition. Both would go into my Flickr account.
