Thursday’s Task: Blue hour landscapes. My examples below:
Scenic Byway 128, UT
Melton Hill Lake, TN
Alan, very impressive work you’ve shared for the Blue Hour Task—my favorites are the Harris Beach, the Lake Louise, and the Grand Canyon South Rim images! Also I find myself scrolling back to the beautiful sky in the Alabama Hills image you captured—very nice.I am somewhat of a morning person so I have a few for this theme.

Doug, three beautiful “blue hour” examples! I like the Rockies image—beautiful sky and I love the light and shadow on the mountains. The Zabriskie Point image is my favorite, another with beautiful light and shadows. The Tatoosh Range is a beautiful image with the overlapping blue hills—another special landscape.Great task, John.
Just the other day I was going through older images from the Canadian Rockies and found this one.

Ken, very nice captures ––the first and third images are my favorites. The lighthouse image has lovely light captured and an interesting composition as well.I will try and find a few that you have never seen.
My local Tarn less than 5 minutes by car. If I see a sunset developing I can drive up and snap away.

Dan, three excellent landscapes you've shared. I especially love the subtle light in your second image with the mountains and their reflection in the foreground water––the fallen tree lying in the foreground amongst the rocks creates a visually appealing foreground––beautiful image and my favorite! The first and last images are also well captured and I lean towards the last with its appealing blue river and canyon walls contrasting with the beautiful sunburst and sky––nice! Not sure if I'm much for early morning so here it goes

Kyle, you never cease to amaze me with your beautiful images for every task––such as these two images. Both are well composed with beautiful light captured. Perhaps my favorite is Hidden Lake––perfect! Here are a couple of blue hour favorites...
1) Hidden lake in Glacier

2) Olmsted Point in Yosemite (maybe a little after blue hour)

Love the lighting, especially mountain that is "subdued"
Jameel, I like the expanse of sky above the beautiful landscape below in your first image—nice composition and my favorite. The Seattle skyline is an interesting take on the task. I like the contrast of the city with the blue sky and mountains beyond with their snow caps providing added visual interest.
Monika, love the symmetry of your first image—it’s a keeper! I love the subtle beauty of your White Pocket image as as well—I can’t choose a favorite from these two special images. From 16-Mile Camp in the Grand Canyon

Craig, wonderful series of images (and titles) you’ve shared for this task. “The Blue Pool”, “Desert Moon”, and “Peace” are among my favorites but all are well captured and edited.
I really like this series, Craig, especially the Mesa Arch, Blue Pool, and Geen River Overlook images.
