Morning treat in the Sierra, + edit

Back on 9 Oct, after my dawn shoot at North Lake, among a small handfull of other photographers, I climbed back up the hill to the car park. I casually scanned the view in front of me.
In the lee (shadow) side of the hillside many clumps of fall color were scattered amongst the rocks, not to mention the few aspen trees nicely framing the bottom of the scene.
Wherever you find yourself, it pays to look around!

Always look around - I get some of my best scenes from doing just that. You got some nice colors during your journey and this is a fun example of that.

I might be inclined to juice up the saturation of the yellows/oranges here just a hair if this were my shot.

Thanks, Guys! Yeah, for some reason unknown to me, all my pics posted here feel washed out and flat, to the point I have to punch contrast and sat up.
Here is a little of that for this image.....

Hey Barry, the edit also looks washed out. I would say to punch it to 100... :)

I would also probably crop it a bit from the top so that the blue sky isn't in it.

When you add Edits, in your Original Post (Thread), click "Edit", then click "More Options". That will open up the Upload Photo so that you can put the edited photo below the original. When having to scroll so much between photos, if there is a difference it would be almost impossible to see. But when they are right below each other, it's easier as parts of both photos can be on the screen at the same time.
