Fluorite specimens are commonly zoned with purple on the outside and yellow on the inside. You can see the yellow color in the interior of this specimen.

This specimen is of yellow fluorite crystals with a cluster of Sphalerite (an important ore of zinc) attached.

This is a specimen of Malachite an important ore of copper from the famous mines in Bisbee, AZ.

Wow Doug! These are amazing!

The first one looks like it was really difficult to capture. It looks like you had placed a light source to shine through the rock?

I really like all 3 of these!

Thanks, Jim. The crystals are transparent enough that the ambient light from the window is enough to see through them.

Another great set of minerals Doug. You probably can setup a mineral museum with your collection.
Thanks, Jameel. I don't have nearly enough minerals or the sizes necessary to set up a museum. In fact, I will be pretty much out of candidates for photography in a few more weeks. It has been fun, however, to share these with you guys.

Another beautiful set, Doug. The translucence of the 1st one makes for a wonderful shot. The structure of the malachite is so intricate.
