Menin Gate

Going back to Ypres, this is the Menin Gate, east side of Ypres, Belgium.
These are the names of allied dead with no known grave. (!)
Martin and I were there in the fall of 2008, nearing the 90th anniversary of Armistice Day, so many sites in not only northern Europe but also in Britain were decorated with the famed red paper poppies of Flanders.
A deep sense of quiet respect came over me as I viewed all those names. Quite moving for me.

Wow - that's an awfully long list of names. 54,000+ according to Wiki! You did well in portraying the memorial this way.
