That is a distinctly rugged looking piece of terrain. You have handled the range of light in this scene well with an image that invites long looks. I like the almost whimsical grey clouds just above the rim.

Nice work Alisa, it's great to finally see some interesting photos from the Black Canyon. There sure aren't many good photos out there.

At first look, I needed more canyon on the left and less treeless area on the right, but after a longer view, that beautiful sky helps balance the comp nicely.

Very nice. I always thought I'd get over there for a climb, but never did. It is as tough to climb as to photograph - tricky descents to the base with loose rock and poison ivy to contend with, then stiff climbing (many routes have a pegmatite band that is especially hard).

Yeah, wow I couldn't imagine trying to climb the black canyon.
