Light and color

I live to study light and color and that helps me and enable me to enjoy the photography even more. I recent came across this video where he goes into why and how the light and colors change between mid day versus golden and blue hours.

For those interested it may be worth about 20 mins of your time.

Thanks - the guy gives a good explanation of atmospheric influences on our available light. I could add a lot to his sunset arch discussion since he never discussed real world conditions we so often encounter out along the coast.

Our nemesis of course is when there is a marine layer that blocks the light from the sunset arch and the color show turns into buzzkill grays.

He did do a good job of explaining the tilt-shift utility with a large format field camera. Amazing camera gear for images of a derelict Sears building. And he was going to auction off the prints?

Quite good discussion.

I've correspnded with this guy a few times, hes very helpful and a real artist here in California who turns wide aspect film shots at dusk or twighlight into fine art. Nick is his name I believe. Very nice guy and his videos are great
