Testing my new 70 - 200 for a little macro. My setting might need adjustment but will keep at it.

I like the depth and colors in the first image. The second one is a more complex subject that might benefit from using a focus stack to get more of the bloom in focus.
Very cool Lenny. Yeah, longer zoom lenses can make inexpensive macro lens too.
You probably would want a little more focus in the front of #2 because that flower has such cool and intricate detail that having the OOF parts blocking the in focus area becomes a distraction I think. As Alan mentioned, Focus Stacking is a common way for Macro shooters to overcome the very small DOF of shooting macro.

I like the first one the best. A bit less light in the background could have helped make the subject stand out even more.
