Half Dome Twilight

I spent the weekend in Yosemite Valley hoping for fall color. Overall it is not a great year for it. Many leaves haven't turned yet while others are brown and dead. The storm coming in this week will probably end the fall season. That said, Yosemite is always beautiful and we got some good light. Here is a twilight shot of Half Dome from the beach near Housekeeping Camp. I didn't try to prevent the moon from blowing out as the sky was already too dark for that to work cleanly.

Any thoughts are welcome.

That's perhaps my favorite time of day in Yosemite when Half Dome gets lit up on the face like that. I think you made the right choice with the moon.

In passing I had wished I could make it to Yosemite for it's fall colors, but I have gotten stuck here in Colorado for a bit longer. It looks like as for the fall colors I hadn't missed anything.
