Both excellent images. I really like that perch the femail is on, but the male is a prettier bird and has a better background.

Outstanding portraits of these birds. Like Ben I do like the female perched on the cholla branch - classic desert scene. The male shot is nice and crisp so good details on his colorings. Looks like he knows you are there.
